Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 16, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Unbound Angling website and participation in guided fishing trips and other services offered by Unbound Angling. By using this website, booking a trip or participating in Unbound Angling services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Guided Fishing Services

Unbound Angling provides guided fly-fishing trips and related outdoor experiences in Alabama. Trip locations, target species, fishing methods and daily plans may vary based on client preferences, weather, water conditions, fish behavior, safety considerations and other factors.

Fishing is inherently unpredictable. Unbound Angling does not guarantee the catch of any particular species, number of fish or size of fish.

2. Booking and Payment

Current trip options, durations and prices are listed on the Unbound Angling website at the time of booking.

A $60 deposit is required to reserve a trip unless otherwise specified. The remaining balance is due on the day of the trip.

A booking is considered confirmed once the required deposit or payment has been received and booking confirmation has been issued.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information and any information reasonably necessary to plan and safely conduct the trip.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

Cancellations, rescheduling, deposits, no-shows and refunds are governed by the Unbound Angling Booking and Cancellation Policy in effect at the time of booking.

Weather, river flows and other conditions may require Unbound Angling to modify the location, timing or nature of a trip. Rain or weather alone does not automatically cancel a trip. Unbound Angling will determine when conditions are unsafe or otherwise unsuitable for the trip to proceed.

If Unbound Angling cancels a trip because of unsafe conditions, the client may reschedule or receive a full refund.

4. Fishing Licenses and Legal Requirements

Clients are responsible for obtaining and carrying any fishing license or permit required by Alabama law unless expressly stated otherwise.

All fishing activities will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Unbound Angling may modify fishing methods, locations, target species or other aspects of a trip when necessary to comply with legal requirements or responsible fish-handling practices.

5. Outdoor and Fishing Risks

Fishing, boating, wading and other outdoor activities involve inherent risks. These may include changing weather and water conditions, currents, rapids, rocks, uneven or slippery terrain, wildlife, insects, heat, cold, boating hazards and other natural or human-made conditions.

Clients are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions provided by their guide and to use required safety equipment.

Unbound Angling reserves the right to modify or discontinue participation when, in the guide's judgment, a person's actions, physical condition, impairment or refusal to follow safety instructions creates an unreasonable risk to themselves or others.

Participation in a guided trip may also require execution of a separate liability waiver or acknowledgment of risk.

6. Alcohol, Drugs and Conduct

Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited on Unbound Angling guided trips.

Unbound Angling reserves the right to refuse or terminate a trip when a client is impaired, behaves dangerously, harasses others, refuses reasonable safety instructions or otherwise creates an unsafe or inappropriate environment.

A refund may not be provided when a trip is terminated because of client conduct.

7. Children and Non-Angling Guests

Children under six years of age are not permitted on guided trips.

Non-angling guests are welcome when arranged in advance. Applicable pricing, boat capacity and other requirements will be communicated before the trip.

8. Health, Mobility and Dietary Considerations

Clients should disclose dietary restrictions, mobility limitations or other accommodations relevant to the trip during booking or as early as reasonably possible before the trip.

Unbound Angling will make reasonable efforts to accommodate individual needs when practical. Certain water, weather or trip conditions may limit available accommodations or require changes to the planned trip.

9. Equipment and Personal Property

Unbound Angling provides fishing equipment and other trip equipment as described with the booked service. Clients are welcome to use their own fishing equipment when appropriate.

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. To the extent permitted by law, Unbound Angling is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property except where caused by negligence or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Clients may be responsible for intentional or negligent damage to equipment provided by Unbound Angling.

10. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability

By participating in a guided trip, clients acknowledge that fishing, boating, wading and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks and voluntarily assume those inherent risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unbound Angling will not be liable for injuries, losses, damages or expenses resulting from the inherent risks of outdoor recreation or circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be waived or limited.

These Terms & Conditions do not replace any separate liability waiver, acknowledgment of risk or other agreement required for participation in an Unbound Angling trip.

11. Photographs and Media

Photographs or video may be taken during guided trips. Images or recordings that identify a client will not be used by Unbound Angling for advertising, marketing or promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

Clients may photograph or record their own experience provided doing so does not interfere with safety, other participants or applicable laws.

12. Website and Conditions Information

Unbound Angling strives to provide accurate and useful information. However, weather, river flows, projected dam releases, water conditions, fish behavior, fishing regulations and other conditions can change rapidly.

Information provided through the Unbound Angling website regarding current or projected conditions is provided for general informational purposes. Clients and other website users should consult the appropriate government agency, utility or other authoritative source when current conditions or safety decisions depend on that information.

Unbound Angling does not guarantee the accuracy or continued availability of information supplied by third parties.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Unbound Angling website may link to or use third-party websites and services, including booking and payment providers, government agencies, utilities and other resources.

Unbound Angling does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, content, security or privacy practices.

Use of third-party services may also be subject to the terms and policies of those providers.

Such content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified or used commercially without prior permission except as permitted by applicable law.

15. Changes to Services and Terms

Unbound Angling may modify its services, pricing, website content and these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Changes to these Terms & Conditions become effective when posted unless otherwise stated. Terms applicable to an existing booking will generally be those in effect when the booking was made unless a change is required by law or agreed to by the client.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions or services provided by Unbound Angling will be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Alabama except where applicable law requires otherwise.
